Packing Tips: Cubes

  1. Roll, don’t fold your clothes. I have no idea why this works, but it saves a ton of space. I suspect witchcraft is at play here, and I’m fine with that.
  2. Packing Cubes. I love the ones from Eagle Creek. They’re simple, not too expensive, and come in a variety of sizes. Three or four of the standard Pack-It Cubes are enough to last for a week.
  3. Pack by outfit instead of by clothing type. I used to pack all of my shirts together in one cube and all of my pants and shorts together in another. Socks and undies had their own mini cubes. Then I’d have to unpack absolutely everything for one change of clothes. Better to put one or two changes of clothes into each cube.
