Easy, Clean, and Cheap Cable Management

I tend to travel with a fair amount of tech, so finding a good way to manage the rat’s nest of cables I carry is an important part of staying organized on the road. I have tried several cable management tools and have found a clear winner: Tic-Tac containers.

Bobino, BlueLounge, etc: I really want to like these things, but always find them lacking. The exposed cables get caught on things and are wont to unravel, and they’re clumsy to wrap and unwrap. They all come in a variety of sizes which either seem to be too big or two small for the cables I’m keeping.

Tic-Tac Containers: Your cables stay secure, don’t unravel, don’t get snagged on other things, and are easy to get in and out of storage. Multiple plastic boxes fit pretty well together in a cable/tech sac and it’s easy to find the cable you want through the clear plastic. Price: free with purchase of Tic-Tacs. I just need to find a slightly larger container for my MacBook’s USB-C power cord and I’m all set!
